Gorenje’s SimpliCare G800 laundry range is designed to make the handoff from washing to drying more automatic. Through its ConnectLife platform and a feature called Wash&Dry Sync, a compatible washer can share data from its completed cycle with the dryer, which can then recommend an appropriate drying program for the load.
The connected workflow was shown at IFA 2026 in Berlin. Phone-based control and monitoring remain part of ConnectLife, but the more consequential part of the system is the direct communication between the two appliances rather than app access alone.
Gorenje introduced the SimpliCare family at IFA 2025, with G400, G600 and G800 tiers. The G800 sits at the top of that lineup and is manufactured in Europe, according to the company.
Its interface combines a physical KnobControl rotary selector with a color TFT display, retaining tactile program selection rather than moving every function into a touchscreen menu. On the G800 WG814A5T4T washer, Gorenje lists a 10 kg capacity, 1,400 rpm maximum spin speed and 20 programs. The available selections include Eco, Cotton, Synthetics, Power 29, Hand Wash, Pets, Casual Wash and Baby modes.
Some G800 washer configurations are rated at 68 dB during spinning under Gorenje’s SuperSilent branding. Features found across parts of the family include AutoDosing, UltraClean, rapid-wash modes and dedicated shoe-washing programs, although these are not necessarily offered on every G800 model.
The G800 laundry series has received the German Design Award, the Red Dot Product Design 2026 award and the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2025. These recognitions apply to the broader washer-and-dryer system and its interface, automatic dosing and synchronization approach, rather than to the dryer alone.
Gorenje has not established in this presentation which G800 washer-and-dryer combinations will support Wash&Dry Sync in every market, so buyers will need to check compatibility by model as the lineup reaches retail channels.
