Honor may equip both the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro with periscope telephoto cameras, according to a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station. That would be a notable change from the current Honor 600 range, where the periscope camera is limited to the Pro model. The leak also claims the upcoming phones could support up to 3.5x optical zoom and an external 200mm teleconverter.

  • Honor 600 Pro: a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.8 aperture, 80mm focal length, PDAF autofocus, optical image stabilization, 3.5x optical zoom and AI Super Zoom 2.0.
  • Honor 600: no periscope telephoto camera; it uses a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and up to 30x digital zoom.
  • Honor 600 Vitality Edition: no periscope telephoto camera; it uses a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and up to 30x digital zoom.

The 200mm teleconverter was introduced alongside the Magic 9 series in September and could further expand the new phones’ long-range shooting options. Digital zoom on the Honor 700 series is rumored to range from 30x to 100x, although the final limits may differ between models.

Other reported upgrades include Snapdragon 8-series processors for both phones and a secondary rear display. Honor has not announced the Honor 700 lineup or a launch date, though the series is currently expected to arrive toward the end of November. Camera hardware, teleconverter compatibility and market availability remain unconfirmed.
