Honor has announced MagicOS 11 at its Global Developer Conference 2026, positioning the Android 17-based release around a new visual layer, smoother system behavior and deeper AI integration. The company has opened unrestricted-participant software testing for a selection of Honor smartphones, though it has not yet published a full international release timeline.
The new Glazed Architecture introduces translucent, glass-like interface elements inspired by the Liquid Glass concept. Users can adjust the transparency level, while Honor says its unified rendering system is designed to avoid a significant increase in power consumption.

YOYO takes on more tasks
YOYO becomes a more central part of the platform in MagicOS 11. Honor says the assistant can remember user instructions and identify pickup codes for parcels or orders, while also creating itineraries, task lists and reminders.
The assistant can also control smart-home devices, handle AI-mediated calls and transfer files across three operating systems. Which of these capabilities reach individual phones may depend on device and region, as Honor has not confirmed a complete international rollout plan.
