HONOR will unveil MagicOS 11 on September 15 during its Global Developer Conference, introducing the next version of its Android interface ahead of the expected Magic9 series launch later this month. The software is based on Android 17 and is set to put expanded AI automation at the center of HONOR’s next-generation devices.
The company says the updated HONOR AI assistant will be able to execute complex tasks involving up to 100 steps, aiming to automate longer, repetitive processes on the phone. HONOR has not yet detailed which tasks the assistant will support or how those automations will work in practice.
MagicOS 11 will also bring a revised interface design, reportedly drawing on visual ideas associated with Apple’s Liquid Glass design philosophy. Other announced changes include improved storage-cleanup capabilities and charging-related enhancements, although HONOR has not provided technical details for either feature.

The full MagicOS 11 presentation had reportedly been planned for August before being delayed. Its September 15 debut comes roughly two weeks before the anticipated September 28 introduction of the Magic9 lineup, which is expected to be among the first HONOR devices to showcase the new software. International rollout plans and regional feature availability remain unconfirmed.
