The FCC is sometimes a bundle of joy, by releasing pics of the devices it tests, like the superb Android slider below. This 4 inch gizmo comes in black and red and it’s a mystery device for now, since it doesn’t have anything else than a codename attached to it: PD42100.

This HTC Smartphone supports both CDMA 2000 and GSM 850, plus EV-DO Rev. A, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz). Word has it that inside it there’s a 1.2GHz CPU and that 4 inch display is pure Sherlock Holmes action from the part of Engadget who used a ruler and the Pythagorean Theorem to figure this out.
