HTC has debuted a new Desire series handset today, the HTC Desire 728 model, that’s pictured below. It shares many traits of the other new Desire models, including the plastic case, octa core CPU and phablet screen.

This model has LTE connectivity, dual SIM slots and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Inside we find an octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor, of the 64 bit kind and clocked at 1.3 GHz. The screen is a 5.5 incher with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and IPS LCD panel. Upfront we get a CMOS 5 MP shooter, while at the back there’s a 13 MP shooter.

LTE Category 4 is among the specs, together with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 2800 mAh battery. The color variations are white and “ash”. Priced at $269 this model has a microSD card slot, that supports up to 2 TB of extra storage. The battery we just mentioned supports 5V and 1.5A fast charging, through a separately sold plug.
