Verizon’s HTC Merge has just leaked in a couple of press shots, like the one shown below. We’re dealing with a CDMA unit with a full QWERTY sliding keyboard, that confirms the fact this is a really a follow-up to the G2 (HTC Desire Z). More info on the specs can be found after the break:

Here’s what the HTC Merge is all about, specs-wise:

  • Display: 3.8 inch, WVGA
  • Camera: 5 megapixel, flash
  • CPU: 800 MHz
  • Memory: 512MB RAM, microSD card slot
  • OS: Android 2.2 Froyo, Sense UI
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi b/g/n, 3G (world)

This form factor is not that widespread on Verizon, unless you count the Motorola Droid 2, that’s also comparable in specs.
