The famous HTC S740 will hit the US as HTC S743, a poor consolation for those who are still waiting for a NA release of Touch HD. HTC S743 supports HSDPA connectivity on the 850 and 1900 MHz frequencies, but the rest of the specs are identical with those of the original S740.

S743 features the same back cover, full QWERTY keypad, alphanumeric keypad and runs Windows Mobile 6.1. Among its specs there’s also a 2.4 inch TFT QVGA display (non touch), GPS, WiFi, POP3 and IMAP4 email and a 3.2 megapixel camera.

Start looking for the handset in local retails outlets, unlocked and available for a yet unknown price.
