Huawei’s MatePad Air 2026 updates the Air tablet line with a PaperMatte OLED display, replacing the IPS LCD approach used by earlier models. The matte treatment is intended to deliver a paper-like writing and viewing surface, while the tablet targets users looking to combine note-taking, multitasking, creative work and entertainment on one device.

The tablet supports Huawei Notes and Huawei Paint, with keyboard-cover and M-Pencil accessories available in certain bundles. Huawei also equips it with six speakers and a battery capacity of more than 10,000mAh, alongside fast charging. Its “Air” branding signals a thin design, although detailed dimensions and charging specifications were not provided.

The MatePad Air 2026 was listed in Romania from August 25 at a recommended price of 3,999 lei. Local promotions and bundles may include the keyboard cover and M-Pencil, but availability, pricing and included accessories will vary by market. International launch details and full hardware specifications remain to be confirmed.
