Xiaomi Auto has surpassed 800,000 cumulative vehicle deliveries, founder Lei Jun announced on September 7. The milestone comes roughly two and a half years after Xiaomi began selling its first car, the SU7 electric sedan, underscoring the rapid scale-up of the company’s automotive operation.
The SU7 was launched on March 28, 2024, with initial customer deliveries beginning on April 3. Xiaomi Auto reached 500,000 total deliveries on December 2, 2025, then passed 700,000 on July 30, 2026. That means the latest 100,000 vehicles were delivered in a little over a month.
The SU7 line remains central to the growth. Xiaomi said the electric sedan family itself exceeded 500,000 deliveries on August 17, 2026, around 28.5 months after its debut. The company reportedly sold 258,200 SU7 units in 2025, enough to put it ahead of the Tesla Model 3 in China’s sedan segment above 200,000 yuan.
Xiaomi’s newer YU7 electric SUV has also become a major part of the range following its 2025 launch. From April through August 2026, Xiaomi Auto delivered more than 30,000 vehicles in each month, including August, a period often considered seasonally weaker for the Chinese auto market. Deliveries in the first eight months of 2026 exceeded 246,000 units, against the company’s full-year target of 550,000 vehicles.
The next expansion is expected in September with the launch and first deliveries of Pengcheng, Xiaomi’s first extended-range SUV family. It would give Xiaomi an offering beyond the battery-electric SU7 and YU7. Chinese market estimates have suggested monthly deliveries could eventually reach 50,000 units as production of the new models ramps up, though Xiaomi has not confirmed that volume target.
