Xiaomi Auto plans to enter Europe in 2027, with Germany set to become the foundation for its sales and service network. The company announced at IFA Berlin 2026 that it has signed memorandums of understanding with eight German automotive groups, moving its European expansion from planning toward local distribution preparations.
The prospective partners are Ernst Dello, Autohaus Dinnebier, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile, Hahn Automobile, LUEG Mobility, Penske-Jacobs Innovation and SPT Avior. The agreements do not yet provide a showroom list, launch timetable or detailed retail footprint, and Xiaomi says it will continue seeking additional European partners ahead of its 2027 debut.
Germany already hosts Xiaomi Auto’s European research and development center in Munich. The newly announced partnerships add the retail and after-sales side of the company’s expansion plans, which will be essential as Xiaomi attempts to establish a new vehicle brand in the region.
Xiaomi says it has delivered more than 700,000 vehicles in China since its first customer deliveries began in March 2024. Its SU7 series has passed 500,000 units in 28.5 months after exceeding 130,000 deliveries during 2024, according to the company. The lineup has since expanded with the YU7 and performance-focused models including the SU7 Ultra.
Xiaomi Auto also launched its global website and official international channels at the end of August as groundwork for the overseas push. Germany is the only confirmed European market so far; Xiaomi has referred to further European markets without identifying them, leaving the initial country rollout, vehicle range and final dealer network to be detailed closer to 2027.
