Xiaomi used IFA 2026 to put its Human × Car × Home ecosystem at the center of its international strategy, showcasing more than 380 products across a 3,300-square-meter exhibition space in Berlin. The company said it was its largest stand ever built outside China, combining smartphones, smart-home hardware, AI systems, robotics and electric vehicles.

The mobile headline was the Xiaomi 18 Fold, a new flagship foldable and the first device powered by Xiaomi’s in-house XRING O3 processor. Xiaomi also highlighted its latest AI models: MiMo-V2.5-Pro for advanced reasoning and execution, alongside Xiaomi Miloco and Xiaomi Miclaw.

HyperOS is intended to connect these categories through AI that Xiaomi says can understand real-world context and coordinate actions across devices. Demonstrations included home climate adjustments triggered as a user heads home, as well as multi-device commands carried out without manual intervention.

Xiaomi also confirmed that its Mijia smart-home brand is expanding across Europe. More than 2,000 products spanning 130 categories are planned for official European distribution under the company’s “The Art of Smart Living” positioning, though detailed market-by-market availability was not provided.

Xiaomi has previously outlined plans for its automotive division to enter Europe in 2027, placing the IFA presentation within a broader effort to link its phones, homes and vehicles under one software platform.

The company said its AIoT platform now connects more than 1.1 billion devices globally across over 175 million households. It also pointed to manufacturing infrastructure including a Wuhan facility said to assemble an air conditioner every 6.5 seconds, while humanoid robots are being tested in automotive production scenarios. Xiaomi CyberOne was demonstrated interacting with IFA visitors.

To support the expansion, Xiaomi has announced more than €24 billion in global research and development investment for 2026 through 2030. The spending is earmarked for proprietary chips, on-device AI NPU architectures, operating systems, robotics and European retail and service networks. Release timing, specifications and pricing for the Xiaomi 18 Fold remain the major details still to be confirmed.
