When we tested our first Leagoo handset, the Lead 1 we were pretty happy with it and today we learn there’s a new model coming. Dubbed LEAGOO Elite 3, this new arrival has been confirmed for the Malaysian market and it will be running Android 4.4.x KitKat.

It brings LTE connectivity and packs a quad core 1.3 GHz processor, the MediaTek MT6582. On board we find a 5.5 inch HD display with an IPS LCD panel and at the back there’s a 13 megapixel camera, while upfront there’s an 8 MP shooter. The LTE flavour supported here is Category 4, which means download speeds of up to 150 Mbps. This is a dual SIM phone, that’s also compatible with Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n and also includes 8 GB of storage.

Leagoo Elite 3 has 1 GB of RAM, a 3000 mAh battery and will come in white or black. Its price tag is around $170, which for a phablet with midrange specs and LTE is quite good. The only thing that’s lacking here, considering current trends is a fingerprint scanner.
