There’s a new and strange LG phone in town, one that has just leaked via @evleaks. It’s dubbed LG Isai and pictured below in blue and white and the interesting bit here is that this model is supposed to offer hints about the upcoming LG G3 design.

isai

This handset was made exclusively for the Japanese carrier KDDI, so don’t expect it in Europe soon. This is basically the LG G2 without the back buttons and with extra plastic on the case. It has the same specs as the LG G2 and it comes in a cool aqua and blue hue, as shown in the pics. The display shown here is pretty big, past 5 inches but below 6.

isai 2

The aim here is to make this device achieve an even better display to body ratio than the LG G2, that was a champ in this area for a long time. Now the upper bezel has been cut even more, sacrificing the front camera. That cam and the mic are found on the bottom bezel, as strange as that may seem. You shouldn’t read too much into the UI shown here, since it’s a KDDI-specific attire.

How about this as a starting point for LG G3? Fancy it?
