Motorola’s Edge 70 Plus brings a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 6,500mAh battery to the company’s Edge lineup. Unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin, the phone is set to reach several European markets in the coming weeks, though Motorola has not detailed pricing or a full country-by-country rollout.
The 200MP sensor is Motorola’s highest-resolution smartphone main camera to date. It is joined by a dedicated macro camera, while the front-facing camera uses a 32MP sensor. Motorola also advertises Super Zoom 10x, but this is not 10x optical zoom.
Up front, the Edge 70 Plus has a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED quad-curved display with 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and claimed peak brightness of 5,200 nits. The handset retains the series’ integrated square rear camera module and arrives in PANTONE Milky Blue, Mountain View, Gray Lilac and Sage finishes, with different rear textures depending on the color.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of storage. A vapor chamber handles cooling, while 45W charging and bypass charging are included. The latter can power the handset directly from its charger after a user-selected battery threshold is reached. Real-world camera performance and battery endurance remain the key details to assess once the Edge 70 Plus reaches retail markets.
