Believe it or not, our neighbors from the far east are already given the option to pre-order the very first MeeGo phone, Nokia N9. It seems that in Russia you can already preorder the handset with polycarbonate shell and 1GHz CPU…

We can’t guarantee that this is real, but supposedly this is official info published on a local Nokia site. Last we heard, the 16GB unit of the N9 was to get a pricing of around $660, that’s pretty good for a premiere such as the very first MeeGo smartphone. Also, rumors said that we are supposed to witness the debut of the N9 in September, at least in Sweden.

All of these are speculations, leaks or rumors and only the price is official till now. Also, all I’ve seen till now are prototypes of the device and no one can guarantee if the camera at the back will stay a 8 megapixel unit, or will switch to 12 megapixels like on the N950.
