OnePlus may be preparing the Turbo 7 as one of the first phones powered by Qualcomm’s still-unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 6, according to a new leak from tipster Smart Pikachu. The device is also said to feature a 200MP main camera and a 185Hz display for China, putting an aggressive performance focus behind the next Turbo-series model.
The report points to a 165Hz panel for a possible international version. That split suggests OnePlus could be planning a release beyond China, although neither its markets nor its final branding has been confirmed. OnePlus 16R has been suggested as a possible name, but that remains speculation.

- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 6, not yet officially announced
- Display refresh rate: rumored 185Hz in China and 165Hz for an international model
- Main camera: 200MP
- Telephoto camera: no periscope lens expected
- Build: glass rear panel
- Timing: a China debut is rumored before the end of 2026
There is still uncertainty around both the phone’s name and its processor. Earlier reports referred to the device as the OnePlus Turbo Pro or Turbo 7 Pro, while the latest leak calls it the OnePlus Turbo 7 without clarifying whether a Pro variant is involved. Qualcomm’s SM8845 Pro chip has also been linked to both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro names, leaving its eventual product positioning unclear.

A previous leak tied to a Turbo Pro model mentioned a flat 6.78-inch 1.5K display, a battery of at least 9,000mAh and support for an external cooling fan. Those details cannot yet be assigned to the Turbo 7 itself.
The Turbo line has already been used as the basis for a regional rebadge: the OnePlus Turbo 6 was introduced in India as the OnePlus Nord 6, with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, 165Hz AMOLED display, 9,000mAh battery and 50MP main camera. A move to a 200MP sensor on the rumored Turbo 7 would be a substantial specification change, though image quality will depend on the sensor, optics and processing rather than resolution alone.

OnePlus could face competition from the rumored iQOO Z12 Turbo, which is also expected to use the same Qualcomm platform and may carry a battery of around 10,000mAh, potentially with an integrated cooling fan. OnePlus has not confirmed the Turbo 7, its specifications, price or international availability.
