It appears that the trend of borderless screen phones continues, today with the Meizu Pro 7, that just leaked in a set of images. It badly wants to be a Xiaomi Mi Mix rival and let’s see if it succeeds.
The Meizu Pro 7 is supposed to be a borderless handset, that just appeared on Weibo, in quite a generous gallery of leaks. The images seem to be taken straight out of a PowerPoint presentation, revealing even technical specs about the device, including screen size, design and build. Even the pricing is mentioned in passing. The Meizu Pro 7 is said to sport a 5.62 inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, which is rather strange, but then again the Xiaomi Mi Mix also has a strange res.
A 2:1 aspect ratio may be the one giving this resolution. The phone is just 6.5 mm thick and comes with mCharge 4.0 technology, that can juice up a phone from zero to 100% in just 40 minutes. Two versions of the device are listed, with 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. Potential pricing of $395 and up is thrown around.
This borderless phone is expected to launch on December 24th and judging by some of the pictures we may even get a screen that integrates the fingerprint scanner within it.
