Samsung has begun expanding the stable One UI 9 update beyond South Korea for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Android 17-based release is rolling out in stages, with availability reported in markets including Europe and India, so it may not reach every eligible handset at once.
The reported firmware version is S94xBXXU4BZI6 and carries the September 2026 Android security patch. It has begun appearing on devices that previously participated in the One UI 9 beta program as well as on other eligible Galaxy S26-series phones.
Download size depends on the software already installed. Devices moving from the beta may receive a package of roughly 600 MB, while phones upgrading directly from One UI 8.5 may need to download around 4 GB or more.
New Galaxy AI and security features
One UI 9 introduces visual changes alongside new Galaxy AI features. Samsung highlights My FanCam, which can automatically follow a person in a video recording and keep them centered in the frame. The update also brings changes to Now Brief and adds Now Nudge, a contextual suggestion feature.
Samsung has also updated Interpreter, document scanning and Voice Recorder. Security additions include Security Brief and Privacy Alerts, though the availability of some features may vary by country, language and device model.
Other recent Samsung flagships are also expected to receive One UI 9 during this period. The update has already reached these models in South Korea:

- Galaxy Z Fold7
- Galaxy Z Flip7
For the Galaxy S26 family, the international rollout marks a change from September 22, when stable One UI 9 availability was largely limited to South Korea. The key remaining question is how quickly Samsung will extend the release across additional regions and the rest of its eligible flagship lineup.
