Samsung has begun rolling out the stable One UI 9 update, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. The release is currently underway in South Korea, following Samsung’s usual phased approach, with other regions expected to receive it over the coming days and weeks.

The download size depends on the software already installed. Participants in Samsung’s Korean beta program are receiving a stable-update package of roughly 500MB, while devices upgrading from One UI 8.5 require a download of about 4GB. The same sizing pattern applies to the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.

  • Galaxy S24
  • Galaxy S24+
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold6
  • Galaxy Z Flip6

One UI 9 first arrived in July alongside Samsung’s newest foldables. Samsung subsequently released the Android 17-based software for the Galaxy S26 series in mid-September before expanding it to more recent flagships.

  • Galaxy Z Flip8
  • Galaxy S25 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold7
  • Galaxy Z Flip7

The latest rollout extends One UI 9 to another generation of Samsung flagships, but the company has not confirmed a detailed schedule for availability outside South Korea.
