Samsung has expanded its One UI 9 rollout in the US, bringing the Android 17-based software to the Galaxy S25 lineup and its 2025 foldables. The release follows an earlier rollout in South Korea in late September and a more recent European debut for the Galaxy S26 series.
The US rollout currently covers the following models:
- Samsung Galaxy S25
- Samsung Galaxy S25+
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
One UI 9 adds several Galaxy AI and Samsung app changes. My FanCam can lock onto a selected person, automatically track them and keep them centered in the frame as they move. The update also brings changes to Now Brief and Creative Studio, along with the new Call Brief feature.
- Now Nudge analyzes on-screen context and suggests quick actions, such as saving a location received in a conversation or adding an event to the calendar without manually switching apps.
- Warranty and Care is a new Settings section for checking device warranty status, running diagnostics and viewing service-option information.
- Interpreter gains Thread View, designed to make the history of a translated conversation easier to follow.
Samsung is distributing the update in stages, so arrival can vary by region and carrier. A wider global rollout is expected in the coming days, while owners can check manually through Settings, Software update, then Download and install.
