After a couple of leaked pictures arrive previously on the web, today Samsung officially announced the Z1 smartphone, a device that runs the Tizen 2.3¬†operating system. In case you didn’t know, Samsung had in the past another Tizen device but its commercial launch was later cancelled.


Samsung Z1 arrives in the package with a 4-inch PLS WVGA display that offers a 800 x 480 pixels resolution, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB space of internal storage, a microSD card slot up to 64 GB, and a 3.1 megapixel rear-camera with LED flash.


Among other specs we have a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, an Ultra Power saving mode and a 1.500 mAh battery that promises up to 7 hours of video playback. Samsung Z1 weighs just 112 grams and measures 9.7 mm in thickness. This phone will be available in India later this week for a $91 price tag in three different colours: white, black and red.
