Softbank recently showcased two new 3D smartphones, dubbed the Galapagos 003SH and 005SH, that are somewhat related to the Sharp Galapagos e-book reader. These devices support 3D graphics and will display tridimensional content, without requiring special glasses.

The Japanese company behind this initiative claims that the touchscreen handsets also feature 9.6MP cameras, electronic wallet functions and that they’ll debut in December. What’s really interesting is that Softbank’s boss, Masayoshi Son introduced the new devices just like Steve Jobs would, with the distortion field, keynote and all.
