What’s luxurious and coming to the US? It’s Sony Ericsson’s first foray into the luxury phone market, via the XPERIA Pureness model, that recently got the FCC approval. This original candybar sports a transparent display and seemingly 3G connectivity as well.

Could this be the Motorola Aura alternative gone cheap or a Nokia 8800 rival? We’re really curious to see how well this device will do on the US market, not particularly keen on luxury handsets, unless you count the Hollywood stars and their crazy cravings.
