The best specced Android handset we’ve seen till now might just be Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, but we’ll have to put it to the test and pit it against Motorola Droid, for a real showdown. Anyway, we just learned that Sony Ericsson’s first Android smartphone should be hitting the market in February 2010.

It will be really interesting to see who carries this handset and what price tags is gets in the US and Europe. There’s always the possibility of pre-registering for the phone, by filling in a basic form over here. The site will let you know once the phone is up for pre-order and when it’ll hit the shops.

For now we know that XPERIA X10 will come with pre-paid, upgrade or contract options and if you want a couple of reasons why this device is so hot, here they are: 8.1 megapixel camera, WiFi, Android OS, Google Maps, AGPS, PlayNow arena, Timescape, UX platform and more.
