Usually, when we refer to Asian handsets we detail Chinese models, Japanese ones or South Korean units. Today we learn more about a handset from the Philippines, the Starmobile Knight X, priced at around $446 and offering flagship specs.
This device is Starmobile’s latest release, packing an octa core MediaTek MT6595m processor, as well as 3 GB of RAM. The device has dual LTE connectivity for both its SIM card slots and we’re dealing with a phablet here. The Starmobile Knight X runs Android 4.4 KitKat and its two SIM slots are of the nano SIM and micro SIM kind. This model packs a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display, with scratch resistant glass and it also comes with the 2 GHz processor mentioned before.
The GPU here is a PowerVR IMG Rogue G6200, accompanied by 32 GB of storage, GPS, NFC, IR blaster and a 3550 mAh battery. The handset integrates a 13 megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX135 back camera, with autofocus and F2.2 aperture, as well as a 5 megapixel fixed focus front camera. The product will be available for retail soon and it’s expected to be priced even lower than the $446 mentioned above.
