The TCL P80 Ultra brings the company’s NXTPAPER display treatment to an AMOLED panel while adding a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The 5G handset also carries a 5,800mAh battery in an 8.26mm-thick, 197g body rated IP68 for dust and water resistance; TCL also cites testing under certain MIL-STD-810H conditions.
Its 6.83-inch AMOLED NXTPAPER screen has a 2772 × 1280 resolution, 447ppi pixel density and a 120Hz refresh rate. TCL combines OLED contrast and deep blacks with a matte anti-reflective finish, circular polarization and its Nano Crystal Shield blue-light filtering layer. Peak brightness is rated at 3,200 nits in direct sunlight, while 3,840Hz PWM dimming is intended to reduce perceived flicker.
