Oh, the lucky T-Mobile US customers… it seems they’ll be getting an upgraded HTC HD2 unit, at least memory-wise. We’ve just learned that the hot smartphone will pack 1GB ROM and 576MB ROM in its NA version, opposed to 512MB ROM And 448MB RAM in the European one.

For now Windows Mobile 6.5 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz CPU are kept, but there are rumours that the US version will also get the Windows Mobile 7 upgrade earlier. The reason for the memory upgrade is most likely the WM 7 upgrade and 128MB RAM extra is certainly a decent amount to toy with.

As if this bonus wasn’t enough, the US customers will get a 16GB memory card bundled with the smartphone, instead of the 2GB one that the Europeans got. What’s next, an upgraded HTC Diamond3/Obsession as well for the US market?
