The upcoming VAIO smartphone has passed the local Japanese Communication Authority’s certification process and the device is codenamed VA-10J. It’s made by Quanta Computer and the device was spotted with Android 5.0 on board.
This model seems to be non compliant with VoLTE and inside we find a 64 bit processor, the Snapdragon 410 chipset. This is a quad core unit clocked at 1.2 GHz and other specs include a 5 inch 720p screen, a 13 megapixel main camera and a front 5 MP shooter. There’s a single SIM card inside and we’ve got Bluetooth support and WiFi in the mix as well.
The VAIO phone offers 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and last I heard, the product was bound for an official announcement on March 12th. This will be a very interesting product, because frankly speaking, I don’t see the angle of the product, its selling point. An elegant design could be it…
