vivo’s V80 is set to arrive on October 6, 2026, with a notably large 7,200mAh battery and a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. The company has confirmed a substantial portion of the phone’s hardware ahead of the India launch, although its processor, memory configurations and pricing remain undisclosed.
The rear camera system pairs a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700V main sensor, sized at 1/1.56 inches and equipped with optical image stabilization, with a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera based on Sony’s 1/1.95-inch IMX882 sensor. The telephoto unit also has OIS, supports 3x optical zoom and reaches up to 100x digitally. A ZEISS ultrawide camera is included, but vivo has not yet specified its resolution.
vivo also lists 4K video recording at up to 60 fps, cinematic LUTs and color profiles. Portrait shooting will offer 85mm and 100mm equivalent focal lengths with ZEISS bokeh effects. The front camera is a 50MP unit with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.

The 144Hz setting will apply only in supported apps, while the 5,000-nit figure is a local peak measurement rather than sustained full-screen brightness. vivo claims up to 39.5 hours of local video playback or 14 hours of web browsing in its own tests.
The V80 has a one-piece glass rear panel and a raised “floating camera module.” It will be offered in three finishes:
- Sunrise Anthem
- Horizon Blue
- Stellar Black
The new model follows the V70, which launched with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a 6,500mAh battery and a 120Hz OLED display. The V80 increases battery capacity by 700mAh and raises the maximum refresh rate, while adding a stabilized 3x telephoto camera to vivo’s midrange V-series formula.
vivo has yet to confirm where the V80 will be sold beyond its October 6 India launch. The event should also settle the remaining key questions around the chipset, RAM and storage variants, and price.
