Xiaomi has announced the Xiaomi 18 Fold, a compact book-style foldable that combines a 200MP main camera and 3.5x periscope telephoto lens with a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The handset supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The device has a 7.58-inch LTPO folding display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and 1,712 x 1,168-pixel resolution. Its 5.38-inch outer LTPO display is also rated at 1-120Hz and 1,712 x 1,168 pixels, with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0 protection.
Inside is Xiaomi’s deca-core XRING O3 processor, clocked at up to 4.35GHz and manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process. The chip is paired with a four-core Xuanjie NPU. Configurations offer 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, while the phone runs HyperOS 4.
The Leica Summilux-branded rear camera array consists of a 200MP f/1.7 main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP f/2.2 ultrawide and a 50MP f/2.8 periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom. Xiaomi lists 8K video recording support. There are 16MP f/2.2 cameras on both the internal and cover displays.
When unfolded, the Xiaomi 18 Fold measures 117.8 x 163.8 x 5.02mm; folded, it is 117.8 x 83.6 x 10.68mm. It weighs 219g. The design uses a flat frame, large-radius elliptical corners and a camera island styled after a circuit. Color options include red, white-gold and black, with a ceramic version also listed for the top storage configuration.
Other hardware includes dual nano-SIM support, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, infrared sensor, dual 1115 speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, NFC, UWB, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0 and USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. Connectivity support includes 5G SA/NSA and a multi-system GNSS setup covering BeiDou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS and NavIC.
Listed China pricing starts at €1,400 for the 12GB/256GB model, rising to €1,540 for 12GB/512GB, €1,670 for 16GB/512GB and €1,925 for 16GB/1TB. A 16GB/1TB ceramic edition is listed at €2,050. Xiaomi has not established international availability, leaving the 18 Fold’s reach outside China unresolved.
