Xiaomi is expanding HyperOS 4 interoperability with Apple hardware, adding tools intended to transfer photos, files, contacts and web pages between Xiaomi phones and iPhones. The update also introduces notification syncing and the ability to reply to messages without switching between the two phones.

The Mac and iPad feature effectively turns Apple’s larger-screen devices into a control interface for a connected Xiaomi phone. Xiaomi says the experience requires compatible software versions, the same Xiaomi account, a network connection and installation and setup of its connectivity app; it is not a proximity-only connection.
HyperOS 4 debuted in September alongside the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, with wider distribution scheduled to begin on October 15. Xiaomi has not yet detailed the rollout timing for every device and software version, so the availability of the Apple integration features will depend on product compatibility.
