ZTE has a premium phone ready for an US unveiling and its name is the Nubia Z5. The device recently passed through the FCC and it’s headed to the States pretty soon. You can see it pictured below:

The handset shares most of the high end features of the ZTE Grand S and its industrial design was created by Italian designer Stefano Giovannoni. Its specs include a Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 5 inch Full HD screen, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 13 megapixel F/2.2 camera. The Nubia Z5 is meant as a way for ZTE to penetrate the US market, where the likes of Galaxy S4 and iPhone are very successful.

Initially the product was meant for Europe, but the recent appearance at the FCC confirms an US launch. The ZTE SRQ-NX501 aka Nubia Z5 comes with support for the needed frequency bands to work in North America. Speculations say we may see a final version with a Snapdragon 800 CPU, not the lowly S4 Pro.
