There’s an interesting theory going round the web these days, saying that Apple based its iPhone 4 design on a handset concept that dates back from 2007. It’s the Sony Ericsson concept pictured below we’re talking about and the theory belongs to Mobilissimo.ro, who make quite an interesting point.

As you can see, when the device’s sliding part is on, the handset looks very much like the new iPhone, with the square-ish edges, glossy look and similar volume buttons. We wish Sony Ericsson would have thought of such a design first and not let it stay in sketch phase.
