At the beginning of February we found out about the fact that Sony Xperia Z5 started receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in Turkey. Starting today however, it seems that the software package is spread around to the Japanese users of the entire Xperia Z5 line that includes the following three smartphones: Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium.

This last one is an amazing device, the first one on the market that brings in the package a 4K Ultra HD panel that will display some incredible videos and pictures. As for the new features brought by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, we can see for start the changes in the UI department.

Looking at the numerous screen captures, we see a new way to display the pictures in the gallery, the possibility to delete a screenshot straight from the notification center, or the new transition effects. We have a couple of new things in the camera app too, like the swipe gestures that will get us through the capture modes available (manual, auto, video).

Now, it remains to see when Sony will bring this software in other regions too, as many Xperia Z5 users are now waiting for their Marshmallow slice.
