Apple is set to hold its September launch event on September 9 at 20:00 in Romania, or 17:00 UTC. The presentation will be streamed through YouTube, the Apple TV app and Apple's event page.
The biggest reported debut is Apple’s first foldable iPhone, although its final name remains unclear. Rumored possibilities include iPhone Fold, iPhone Ultra and iPhone Duo. The device is said to use a passport-style foldable design with a 5-inch-plus external display, a 7-inch-plus folding internal screen, dual rear cameras and Apple’s latest processor.
Software adaptation will be a central question for the device, particularly how iOS handles the larger, tablet-like display when unfolded. The event could also mark a return to an in-person Apple presentation under CEO John Ternus, who recently succeeded Tim Cook.
Apple is also expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, with blue and burgundy among the reported color options. The standard iPhone 18 is reportedly being held for a spring release instead. AirPods with an integrated camera have also been mentioned as a possible announcement.
Pre-orders for the new phones may begin on Saturday, September 12 rather than Apple’s more typical Friday window, though neither the product lineup nor sales timing has been officially confirmed. The foldable iPhone’s name, final hardware and release plans remain the key details to watch for during the event.
