iQOO has confirmed that its Pad Ultra gaming tablet will combine active cooling with a 5.74mm-thick, 298g all-metal body. The 8.8-inch model is scheduled to launch in China on September 29 at 7:00 PM local time, with international pricing and availability still unannounced.
The tablet’s cooling system uses a 30 × 30 × 3.5mm fan rated for up to 14,500 rpm. iQOO claims a heat-dissipation area of 1,661mm² and airflow of up to 0.94 CFM, figures that will be relevant to its sustained gaming performance.
For input, iQOO cites an instantaneous touch-sampling rate of up to 5,000Hz. That figure differs from the tablet’s multi-touch sampling rate, which reaches up to 500Hz. Other gaming-focused hardware includes a dedicated gyroscope, dual X-axis linear motors and symmetrical stereo speakers.

iQOO has also referenced a new-generation “Monster Super Core Engine” and an in-house scheduler, but has not yet explained how either works. The company has a gaming technology event scheduled for September 23, where it plans to introduce its “3+2” framework.
The compact 8.8-inch format places the Pad Ultra in the same broad category as Lenovo’s Legion Tab line. Its combination of a slim chassis and an internal fan makes thermal behavior one of the key details still to be tested after the China release.
iQOO says the Pad Ultra can already be tried at selected vivo and iQOO stores in China. Its processor, battery capacity, display specifications, price and plans for markets outside China remain undisclosed ahead of the September 29 debut.
