Acer’s A543 is a Windows 2-in-1 with a 14-inch touchscreen. Its detachable keyboard turns it into a compact work machine, and Notebookcheck reports a starting price of 2,599 yuan in China.
The display runs at 1,920 × 1,200 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio and at a 60Hz refresh rate. At 10mm thick and 1.5kg, the A543 is better suited to desk work than prolonged handheld use despite its 14-inch tablet form factor. For Acer, the formula is familiar: it previously offered the Acer Switch 3, another Windows detachable with a removable keyboard.
The more surprising choice is the processor. The Intel Celeron J4105 dates back to Q4 2017 and is listed as discontinued in Intel documentation. It has four cores and four threads, runs between 1.5GHz and 2.5GHz, and carries a 10W TDP. Acer pairs it with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB to 1TB of storage. There is a notable mismatch: Intel officially lists 8GB as the J4105’s maximum supported memory, while the A543 is sold in a configuration with 16GB.
Connectivity is more extensive than on many tablets: one USB-A 3.0 port, two USB-C ports, Micro HDMI, and a 3.5mm audio jack. One USB-C port supports video output to an external monitor, and the listing also mentions support for a dedicated dock. The battery is rated at 6,000mAh with 45W charging; Acer claims up to seven hours of video playback, six hours of web browsing, or five hours of office work. These are manufacturer estimates rather than independent test results.
Acer A543 pricing in China
The configurations and prices reported by Notebookcheck are:
- 8GB + 256GB: 2,599 yuan;
- 12GB + 512GB: 3,089 yuan;
- 16GB + 1TB: 3,999 yuan.
There is still a pricing discrepancy for the 16GB + 1TB model. IT Home reported a 4,299-yuan price on August 27, while Notebookcheck later listed it at 3,999 yuan. For now, the Acer A543 is listed only in China.
