Here’s a video preview showing the Eclair ROM running on HTC Hero, in the European version. Android 2.1 is what users of the current Google mobile OS versions are craving for and for good reasons, as you can see for yourself in the video below:

If you’re using the Donut right now, you’re certainly missing out on some cool features, like those demoed above and overall we can say that the 2.1 looks like HTC Sense mixed with Android 2.0. The preview above shows the handset’s settings, its Home screen, multimedia menu, YouTube feature and takes us through Google Maps in a hurry.

Widgets are also shown, as well as bookmarks, but what’s the deal with that annoying techno song?
