Nokia N900 has proven itself once again to be one of the most hackable portable devices out there. Yet another version of Android, the freshest, Android 2.3 Gingerbread has been ported on it, even before launching on major Android smartphones, such as Galaxy S and Motorola Droid.

NITDroid team is responsible with the port yet again, just like the previous versions of Android that reached the same handset. Credits go out to Alexey Roslyakov aka DrunkDebugger and his team. It seems that the N900 is working great and there are no problems with the 3G or WiFi connectivity, or the sound.

Seeing how well Android fits with this Nokia piece of equipment makes us wonder why the Finns don’t consider making a port of their own… or a deal with Google.
