Apple will open preorders for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, on October 16. The company has set October 23 as the availability date for the first wave of markets, though a complete country list and regional delivery schedules have not been detailed.
The iPhone Duo uses a book-style folding design with a 5.4-inch outer display for use while closed and a 7.6-inch inner screen. Both are OLED panels with ProMotion support, while peak outdoor brightness reaches 3,000 nits.
- Apple A20 Pro processor, also used in the iPhone 18 Pro models
- Vapor-chamber cooling intended to sustain performance in gaming, multitasking and on-device AI processing
- Titanium construction
- eSIM-only cellular connectivity, with no physical SIM-card slot
- Claimed video playback of up to 31 hours on the inner display or 44 hours on the outer display
A previously reported starting price in Germany is €2,299 for the 256GB version. Apple has yet to provide full international pricing and availability information, which will determine how broadly the iPhone Duo’s October 23 launch extends beyond the initial markets.
