BOYA has introduced the Notra Neo, a compact AI voice recorder that can transcribe recorded conversations in more than 140 languages and identify different speakers. The device can also turn recordings into summaries, task lists and mind maps, while its Ask AI feature is designed to answer questions about material in an audio file without requiring users to replay the entire recording.
The 63 × 63 × 8 mm recorder weighs 34.5 g and is MagSafe-compatible, allowing it to attach magnetically to compatible iPhones. BOYA says it can record conversations, phone calls and Bluetooth audio.
- Two MEMS microphones and an AI-assisted voice-processing system are rated to capture audio from up to 5 meters away.
- The Notra Neo has 8 GB of internal storage and is rated for up to 20 hours of continuous recording.
- A full recharge takes about 90 minutes.
Files are managed through the BOYA OS app, which BOYA says provides unlimited free cloud storage and PC access for editing. The recorder supports export in 10 formats, including MP3, WAV, DOC, TXT, PDF and JPEG. BOYA also claims end-to-end encryption and adherence to data-protection standards including HIPAA.
BOYA lists the Notra Neo at €88.90 in black, white, neon yellow and light pink. An Amazon Germany listing shows a price of €101.68, while broader regional availability has not been confirmed.
The recorder’s AI features use a tiered subscription system, so the up-front device price does not cover every transcription and analysis tool.
- Starter is free and includes 600 transcription minutes per month and 10 templates.
- Pro costs $17.99 per month, with 1,280 transcription minutes, 40 templates and Ask AI access.
- Ultimate costs $29.99 per month and includes unlimited transcription plus all 60 templates.
That subscription model will be central to the Notra Neo’s long-term proposition: its hardware combines a compact MagSafe-ready form factor with recording and transcription tools, but the highest AI allowances carry a recurring monthly cost.
