Expect an invasion of the web with CES 2013 handsets, that will leak from all the corners of the world. CES 2013 starts on January 8th in USA, Las Vegas and it will be filled with quad core Full HD smartphones and fresh tablets. Sony Xperia Z fits in the former category and it gets a fresh press render today, shown below.

Xperia-Z

Sony Xperia Z was formerly codenamed Yuga and this Jelly Bean device will join the likes of HTC Droid DNA and Huawei Ascend D2 as part of the gang of Full HD 5 inch newcomers. We’ll also be getting a quad core CPU and a 13 megapixel camera. Sony’s press conference is scheduled for Monday, January 7th evening, but we expect further leaks to take place over the next days, so keep your eyes peeled. The industrial design of the phone seems to fit the one of previous Xperia models, aside from that metallic camera-like button from the side.

If I remember well, last year Russian site Mobile Review previewed the “Sony Yuga”, this Xperia Z 5 inch 1080p handset and found it underwhelming. The camera wasn’t to their liking and neither was the interface, but the display’s Sony Mobile Bravia Engine created some decent color reproduction. This model will also have 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, a micro HDMI port and Adreno 320 graphics.
