Starting December 1 2008, Firefly will offer glowPhone bundles with a $59.99 price tag and two new rate plans: 25 minute for $9.99 and 150 minutes for $19.99. These two come without contracts of access fees, so there’s no catch. The above-mentioned bundles include a glowPhone handset, a carabineer and a rubber skin.

If you want to buy the glowPhone outside the bundles, there’s an extra free headset for you, which should normally cost $15.99. These affordable phones are destined to reach teens and kids, or so claims Kyle Cox, the president of Firefly Mobile. This fact is also shown by the parental control features on the glowPhone devices, which allow parents to limits their offsprings’ calls.

Firefly handsets will be available at major US retailers, among which Wal-MArt, Walmart.com, Target.com, BarnesandNoble.com and regional operators, but also on Fireflymobile.com.
