Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE is receiving stable One UI 9 software with a notable interoperability upgrade: Quick Share can now send files to compatible Apple devices through AirDrop. The change brings the Fan Edition handset in line with other Galaxy S25 phones that already support the feature.

Tipster Tarun Vats spotted the option after installing the stable One UI 9 build on the Galaxy S25 FE. The capability removes a previous difference between Samsung’s lower-cost S25 variant and the higher-end models in the same family.

Google first introduced AirDrop compatibility on the Pixel 10 line before the function began reaching other Android devices. Supported devices mentioned so far include:

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 series models
  • Samsung Galaxy S26 series models
  • Older Google Pixel models

With One UI 9, the Galaxy S25 FE closes that remaining feature gap within the S25 range, extending local file-sharing compatibility across Android and Apple device ecosystems.
