Grand Theft Auto VI may demand up to 212GB of storage space when it arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. The final installation requirement will vary by console, but the figure makes Rockstar’s next open-world release one of the larger storage commitments for current-generation systems.

Digital preloading is scheduled to open on Tuesday, November 10, at midnight local time for PlayStation 5. Xbox Series X|S preloading is set for 02:00 in the time zone cited by the distributor. Digital preorders are already available on both platforms, while code-in-box physical editions are expected to begin distribution on November 12.

Rockstar Games is also directing players to its official channels for further material ahead of release, including information on the fictional state of Leonida, the game’s soundtrack and radio stations, and the Ultimate edition. Installation instructions are available through the company’s support portal.

On launch day, Rockstar plans to make a digital version of the GTA VI cover poster and a detailed Leonida map available as free downloads for printing. A double-sided physical paper edition of the map is due to follow through the Rockstar Store for $0.99, or free with a purchase from the store. The source does not specify regional availability for that physical item.
