Motorola and Lenovo’s Moto Z handsets have been getting more press regarding their modularity compared to the LG G5 for example and now they’re ready to get a very interesting photo module. Up untill now we saw battery modules, kickstand accessories and one with a projector, but this time we’re dealing with a Hasselblad unit.

The Swedes, known for their medium format cameras are working on a “True zoom camera” attachment for the Moto Z and Moto Z Force, according to the leaked picture above. The accessory comes with 10x optical zoom, Xenon flash and physical shutter and zoom buttons. It also lets you share “in the moment with ease” and performs backup automatically.

RAW format capture is mentioned as well. We don’t yet know the price, launch date and actual size of this module. One would even think it’s wishful thinking or a cancelled product, but we have faith that it will exist. The Moto Z models are already well specced in the camera area, with 13 and 21 MP cameras respectively, but a 10x zoom lens may increase their appeal quite a bit.
