Purported live images of the HONOR Magic 9 and Magic 9 Super Edition have surfaced ahead of the series’ expected unveiling this month. The phones appear in Sky Blue and a vivid yellow finish, with both adopting a circular rear camera island rather than the visually split rear-panel treatment reported for the Magic 9 Pro Max.
The two leaked handsets show a large main camera accompanied by two smaller sensors arranged vertically. Their camera islands appear less densely packed than the one expected on the Pro Max. The LED flash placement also differs between the two devices, appearing inside the circular module on one and outside it on the other.
The Super Edition is rumored to be the most unconventional member of the range. It could pair a 6.8-inch 165Hz display with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, an 11,000mAh battery and an internal cooling fan intended to manage heat during extended gaming. Its reported camera setup includes 200-megapixel, 50-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors, without ARRI branding.

| Model | Display | Processor | Battery | Reported camera hardware |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HONOR Magic 9 | 6.37-inch | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | 8,000mAh | Two 200-megapixel sensors developed in collaboration with ARRI; front 3D biometric and depth-sensing system |
| HONOR Magic 9 Super Edition | 6.8-inch, 165Hz | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | 11,000mAh | 200-megapixel, 50-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors; no ARRI branding reported |
| HONOR Magic 9 Pro Max | 6.8-inch | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme | 8,800mAh | Two 200-megapixel cameras, a square 1:1 front sensor and 3D ToF camera |
The Pro Max is also said to use a metal frame, positioning it as the more conventional flagship counterpart to the battery-focused Super Edition. However, HONOR has not confirmed the names, specifications, chipsets or the reported camera distinctions, and availability details have yet to emerge. The expected launch event should clarify whether the unusually large Super Edition battery and active cooling system are part of the final lineup.
