KDDI is a Japanese carrier that recently decided to add the Infobar A02 handset to its lineup and this HTC made handset comes with a very interesting design and UI that will probably appeal to a lot of people. KDDI’s decision to leave the HTC name out of the branding may be intended to simply marketing this phone as “something other than the usual HTC products”.

This colorful handset has a very neat Android UI, organized into some tiles/rectangular widgets, that are linked together with creative transitions. They can turn into globular balls when you resize them and move then from screen to screen. This interface is even more revolutionary than the one we’ve seen in action on HTC Sense 5.0 devices. HTC au Infobar A02 is based on a quad core Snadpragon S4 Pro CPU at 1.5 GHz and has a 4.7 inch 720p screen.

Other features include 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 2.1 megapixel camera upfront, plus LTE support and Beats Audio. Sadly, this model will only stay in Japan, but we sure hope developers will get their hands on one and rip out its beautiful interface, creating a custom ROM with it included.
