The Nexus One may not have sold that well, but its twin, the HTC Desire was a major hit and a handset loved by most buyers. Well, the device was promised an upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread in May or late June, but if you want it earlier, 911Sniper brings you a solution.

The crew of developers from 911Sniper have just leaked the European/Asian ROM for the device, including Android 2.3.3 and HTC Sense 2.1, so no more waiting for you. People have already installed the ROM and reported mixed results, as usual, with such unofficial software. However, if you do the proper install and follow the right guidelines, you should be fine.

We advise to back up your data and follow all the indications of the expert developers… or you can always wait for the summer. Extra info is found here.
